Inspired by the strength and beauty of her grandparents who are Holocaust survivors, Aimee Golant's work challenges the ideas behind faith and existence. Tying in Jewish themes and traditions with renewed meaning in a modern context, from one-of-a-kind art to production mezuzot and jewelry, Aimee Golant's metalwork covers a wide spectrum both aesthetically and philosophically. Her Barbed Wired Mezuzah traveled to outer space with Israeli astronaut Ilan Ramon and the Jewish Museum of New York has acquired one of her evocative art pieces for its' permanent collection.
